PTO Pumps allow you to use the PTO shaft of virtually any tractor to operate hydraulic implements such as backhoe loaders. This is done by converting the rotational power of a Tractor's PTO shaft into Hydraulic Power. Our pumps are specifically designed for PTO Drive Operation on all sizes of farm tractors. Additional gear boxes are not necessary. The pump is mounted by sliding the internally splined pump onto the PTO splined shaft and restraining rotation with a torque arm.

Any tractor that has rear PTO (Power Take Off) that rotates at 540 RPMs can use our pump. A shaft that rotates at 540 rpm has 6 splines on it, and a diameter of 1 3/8". Our pump is designed to connect to a PTO shaft with 6 splines and a 1 3/8" diamater. Therefore, our PTO pump works with all 540 RPM PTO shafts. This includes all tractors made by John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Kubota, and Jinma. As a general rule of thumb, a reservoir size in gallons should equal the pump output in gallons per minute.
